About Me

Hi! I am Chan Jun Wei, currently studying Bachelor of Computing (Honours) in Computer Science from National University of Singapore.

I am a Second Class Honours, Upper Division, who specialized in Information Retrieval and Artificial Intelligence.

I am also an ASEAN Scholar who went to University of California, Irvine (UCI), USA for an exchange programme.

My final year project is Depression Detection from Speech supervised by Prof Ooi Wei Tsang.

Silicon Valley Intern

I have worked in EventForte, Silicon Valley as an intern. The following is my job scope:

  • > Worked as full stack developer who developed frontend using aspx, angularjs and jQuery as well as backend including the API server using .net and SqlServer database
  • > Programmed a website for the administrator to manage complex data while collaborating with a team to develop a website (https://app.eventforte.com) to reduce the complexity of event management

GoTnT

The Project 'GoTnT' (Go Trip and Travel), which is a travel assistant aimed to make the trip planning fun and convenient as well as to capture travellers’ precious and happy moments automatically, is initiated to join the Microsoft Imagine Cup

The backend is built using the ASP.net with Entity Framework and the app is delevoped using the IONIC framework.

We sourced and secured Microsoft Azure Sponsorship with a value of USD $10,000.

We are currently the Singapore Finalists for the Microsoft Imagine Cup. (Still Ongoing)

ISTC

"Integrated Surgery Training Curriculum provides surgeons with an integrated platform to manage their trainings, researches and administrative duties."

This project is supervised by Associate Professor Leow Wee Kheng and Consultant Surgeon Dr Ooi Oon Cheong. Jai Sule (Star Trainee) from the National University Hospital (NUH) will assist Dr Ooi in overseeing the project.

This is built with Qt and C++. The server side is done using PHP. It will be migrated to the NUH Server in time to come.

This project has won the NUS SOC Term Project Showcase 14-15 Sem II (6th STePS), Second Prize.
